The Winter Dreams Festival Job Details

Ticket Booth Sales and Greeter

This job involves scanning tickets for those who have already purchased, stamping hands for the correct ticket type, and selling tickets on-site. Ideally this job will always have two volunteers at a time for security and convenience. Perks include free entrance to the festival, a discount for the ball, and a Festival Volunteer T-Shirt.

Food Server

This job requires a current food handler's permit. Responsibilities include restocking the dessert buffet, refilling the drink station, and helping manage spills, guest questions, clearing trash, and helping the general flow of the atmosphere. Perks include free entrance to the festival and ball.

Set Up

We have furniture to arrange, a 12 foot tree to decorate, vendors to prepare for, and magic to create as we decorate! Responsibilities may include lifting and bending, climbing short ladders, unloading vehicles, pulling wagons, creative decorating, placing roped off areas, signs, and banners as well as marking off vendor spaces. Perks include free entrance to the festival, a discount for the ball, and a Festival Volunteer T-Shirt.

Take Down

Once the event is over we have limited time to clear the venue. Responsibilities include packing and loading decor, signs, etc into transport vehicles. All vendors will be responsible for their own take down, and most cleanup is taken care of by the venue. Perks include our appreciation and leftover food doggie bags if applicable.

Event Security

There are perimeters to watch on the venue and occasional people moving (such as clearing an area for the combat demonstration or the dance performance). Security will be responsible for watching for signs of individuals making a disturbance, causing problems for vendors, being under the influence, needing medical assistance (provided). Perks include entry to the events and playtime when not on shift. Security T-shirts provided.

First Aid

Volunteers for this position must be professionally qualified as an RN, NP, paramedic, medical doctor or osteopath, or lifeguard. A small medical/sensory respite room is allotted in the main building and will be available for all your needs. Responsibilities include first responder for any and all injuries or illness occurring at the event. Event hosts are support in the event of an emergency and the need to call paramedic support.
