Steel Athletics Norwegian Foot March Volunteer Waiver

VOLUNTEER WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY & ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I voluntarily agree to serve as a volunteer for the 2nd Annual Steel Athletics Norwegian Foot March, held on October 10, 2026 at Navy Base Guam.

I understand that volunteering at this event may involve risks, including but not limited to darkness, traffic and moving vehicles, uneven terrain, weather conditions, heat and humidity, lifting or carrying equipment, interaction with participants, slips, trips, falls, and other hazards associated with event setup, operation, and cleanup.

I voluntarily assume the risks associated with my participation as a volunteer. I agree to follow all safety instructions and directions provided by Steel Athletics and event officials and to immediately report any unsafe condition, accident, injury, or emergency.

In consideration for being permitted to volunteer, I release and hold harmless Steel Athletics, its owners, employees, representatives, event officials, sponsors, agents, and volunteers from claims arising from my participation as a volunteer to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

I understand that I am participating voluntarily and am not an employee of Steel Athletics and am not entitled to wages or employee benefits for my volunteer service.

If I become injured or ill during the event, I authorize reasonable emergency medical treatment when necessary.

I understand that photographs and video may be taken during the event and authorize Steel Athletics to use my likeness for event-related promotional and social media purposes.

By agreeing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this waiver, voluntarily assume the risks associated with volunteering, and agree to its terms.

Event Setup Crew

Set up check-in, weigh-in, start/finish area, tables, tents, signage, barriers, water/supplies -- 10:00 PM–1:00 AM

Check-In / Bib Crew

Participant check-in, verify registration, distribute/verify bibs, direct participants

12:30–2:15 AM

Ruck Weigh-In Crew

Weigh rucks, verify 24.25 lb minimum dry weight, record results -- 12:30–2:15 AM

Water/Snack Stop

Set up water, serve/refill, monitor ruckers, communicate issues --2:00–8:00 AM

Finish Line / Timing

Record finishers, primary/backup timing, bib verification, manage finish chute -- 5:00–8:30 AM

Finish Ruck Weigh-In

Re-weigh finishing rucks and record final weight verification

Course / Last Rucker Support

Monitor course, track remaining participants, support/sweep behind final ruckers -- 2:00–8:30 AM

Cleanup Crew

Break down start/finish, water stations, signage, trash and equipment -- 8:00–10:00 AM
